Hello!

I’m Stephanie Collyer (or Steph if you prefer!).

I have been helping businesses market themselves online  for over 25 years.

It was a lot different when I first started. Yahoo, MSN Search and AskJeeves were the main search engines, with Google being the disruptive underdog. There was no such thing as social media, and AI wasn’t thought about at all by the average business. We relied on printed publications, direct mail, radio ads and – for those who had the budget – TV ads.

Anyway I digress. Let’s go back to what hopefully is relevant to you about me…

Clients should always have exceptional service and I go above and beyond to provide that (see the feedback I get).

What my pre-business background in hospitality taught me (apart from how to faultlessly bone a Dover sole and flambé a steak in front of customers), was that great customer service is about listening, communicating clearly and doing what you say you’ll do – when you say you’ll do it.

How I got into this…

In 2001, after 3 years of studying IT and computers, I started building websites for local businesses. This included an online ordering website for an Ipswich café – years before platforms such as Deliveroo and Just Eat were developed. Another website I developed was a portal for estate and letting agents to subscribe and pay to list their properties. This was just after Rightmove was launched – and before it started charging agents to list properties.

I later co-founded a market-leading construction software company. I built the website and managed the design and marketing which helped get the business off the ground.

The business grew fast, reaching £1.2m turnover in its second year. That experience gave me a good mix of marketing, technical and commercial knowledge that I bring to my clients today.

In 2013, I launched Belluber. I love what I do and if I could do it free of charge, I would.

If you want to find out more about my background (and see some very old photos!), have a read of my blog post: From washing cars to building businesses.

What will it be like working with me?

I listen before I recommend

I make sure I understand what you’re trying to achieve before suggesting what you need.

I care where your money is spent

I recommend where your budget is likely to have the most impact – and tell you when something is not worth paying for.

I give you straight answers

I’ll tell you what will help, what won’t, what I can do and what I can’t – with a no-nonsense approach.

I do what I say I’ll do and when I say I’ll do it

You’ll know when work will be completed – I’ll keep you informed and will be available to you at every step of the project – and after.
