LinkedIn Lead Building Service

Build relationships with the right people – potential customers, referral partners and introducers.

I help you grow a targeted LinkedIn network of potential customers, referral partners and introducers – focusing on people who could genuinely be useful to your business.

I find the right people to connect with and use natural, conversational messaging to start genuine discussions – not cold sales pitches or generic bulk messages.

The aim is to build useful business relationships that can lead to enquiries, introductions, referrals and new opportunities.

How LinkedIn Lead Building works

Click a heading to expand:

I use techniques to identify and connect with potential customers and referral partners.

This includes finding and sourcing your potential clients and also potential partnership connections, based on your target markets – their locations, business size, industries, job titles and more.

Depending on your business, I could help you connect with:

  • decision-makers at companies you’d like to work with
  • professionals who regularly refer work like yours
  • potential strategic partners
  • people attending a particular event
  • businesses in a specific industry or location

Expand your network of contacts.

I send connection requests and create bespoke text in the language and with the approach that your company and your target market uses.

I then send out messages and start conversations to help you turn introductions into potential lasting relationships, that not only build trust but also encourage referrals.

This isn’t about sending hundreds of automated sales messages or spamming your connections. The aim is to build the right network and start genuine business relationships.

Review and refine for improved results.

I analyse the results and adapt the approach as and when necessary – which could be the search filters and/or the messaging, in order to achieve the best outcomes for you and your goals.

No long-term contract.

The service starts with an initial four-month period, allowing enough time to build your network, test the targeting and messaging and refine the approach. After that, it moves to a rolling monthly arrangement.

Reviews from happy clients.

– Andy Connacher, Whitewater Creative

“OMG you’re a genius. These are great quality leads!”
– Kerry Malster, ActionCOACH

“Through Steph’s Smart Connections work, 15 quality prospects registered for our event and 13 attended. Within a month, I secured a new 1-2-1 client – and the first month’s revenue alone delivered a three-times return on investment. We’re now progressing discussions with additional attendees.”
– Martin Baillie, ActionCOACH

“We are getting some great leads already through connections made with not just introducers but actual prospects in our target market.”
– Matt Cunliffe, MCMCBC

“I now have a high-quality mailing list that I regularly send emails to and I’m getting some good introductions to potential clients – my conversion rate has increased from 30% to 75%.”
– Brand Landau, Nationwide Office Supplies

“From the replies this week I already have booked calls with 3 people!”
– Justin Chapman, Press Start

For a business coach client, I identified 530 relevant contacts within his target market.

Over one month:

530 identified → 101 connected → 76 messaged → 67 conversations

15 of these also registered for his live event after I messaged the new connections with an invitation.

This is a good example of how targeted LinkedIn connections can turn into real conversations – and great opportunities.

Build relationships, not just connections

The aim is to create useful business relationships that can lead to enquiries, introductions and referrals.

Conversational messaging

Messages are conversational and designed to start genuine discussions – not to immediately give a sales pitch.

Carefully targeted

I identify people who are genuinely relevant to your business rather than simply chasing connection numbers.

LinkedIn Lead-Building FAQs

If you have any questions that are not answered below, please contact Steph.

This is a done-for-you service designed to grow your network with the right people.

These might be potential customers or people who could introduce you to their own clients and recommend you to potential customers.

I’ll identify suitable people, send connection requests and follow up with conversational messages designed to start genuine discussions and build relationships.

The service can also be used to promote something specific, such as an event, without hard-sell messages.

It’s suitable for businesses whose potential customers use LinkedIn, as well as businesses that could benefit from building relationships with partners, introducers or other people who can refer potential customers to them.

If the people you want to reach are active on LinkedIn, there’s a good chance I can build a targeted network around them.

You and I will identify your target audience together, including potential customers and useful partners or introducers.

Sometimes the most valuable person to connect with is someone who already knows your ideal customers.

That’s why I target potential referral partners and introducers as well as businesses you might want to work with directly.

The aim isn’t simply to increase your connection count. It’s to build a network of people who are genuinely relevant to your business.

Yes. The connection requests and follow-up messages come from your LinkedIn profile, so the conversations are between your business contacts and you rather than Belluber.

I’ll search for suitable second-degree connections based on the target audience we’ve agreed, send connection requests and follow up accepted connections with conversational messages.

When someone replies, you can take over the conversation yourself or I can manage the initial responses for you.

The aim isn’t to launch straight into a sales pitch. Once I’ve built the connection, I start a genuine conversation and we decide where it goes from there.

I’ll agree with you beforehand which parts of the process I manage and when you take over, so nobody is having conversations without you knowing about it.

Not in the traditional cold-sales sense.

The messages I send are conversational and designed to start a genuine dialogue rather than immediately trying to sell something.

We’ll agree the messaging together and you’ll always approve the wording before anything is sent on your behalf.

The aim is to build trust and relationships that can develop into enquiries, introductions and opportunities.

No. The aim isn’t to build the biggest possible network or send sales messages to hundreds of people. I concentrate on identifying people who are genuinely relevant to your business and building useful connections with them.

Messages that are written will be natural and appropriate to the audience, with the aim of starting conversations rather than immediately pushing a sales pitch.

You can choose how involved you’d like me to be.

Most of my clients prefer to take over once somebody replies, as they’re best placed to have the detailed conversation about their business and services.

Alternatively, I can manage the conversation initially and take it to the point where the person is interested in arranging a meeting or call with you.

If you’re too busy to keep checking LinkedIn, I can also send you regular lists of the people who have responded so that potential opportunities don’t get missed.

It depends on the size of the target audience and how closely defined it is.

As a general indication, around 20% of the connection requests I send are accepted, although this will naturally vary according to the audience, profile and campaign.

The focus is on relevant connections rather than just chasing a large number.

You could start seeing results within the first month (some of my clients have!), but I recommend allowing four months to give us enough time to see which target audiences and messages work particularly well and refine the approach accordingly.

What counts as a result will also depend on the objective. If we’re promoting an event, for example, we might measure registrations or attendees rather than traditional sales enquiries.

Yes. We agree the types of businesses and people you’d most like to build relationships with, and I use that to identify relevant contacts.

Yes – that’s ultimately the point of the service.

Building connections is only the first stage. The follow-up messages are there to start conversations, build familiarity and identify people who could become potential customers, introducers or useful business relationships.

Yes. Smart Connections has an initial four-month contract.

This gives us enough time to build your network, test the targeting and messaging, see what’s generating the best response and refine the approach as we go.
